Motorola G57 Power Review: Worth It or Not Under ₹15,000 in 2025

Motorola G57 Power

Nowadays, when choosing a smartphone on a budget, battery, performance, software and real-world usage — everything has to be taken into consideration. After the launch of the new Motorola G57 Power, I used it for a few days myself and found that it really offers something amazing at this price. Below, I share the details and my experience.

Packaging and first impressions

The G57 Power comes in a completely plastic-free, eco-friendly packaging — which is already a sight to behold for many brands.

Out of the box, you get just the phone, Type-C cable, 33W charger and SIM-ejector tool; no case or cover is provided.

The initial impression is positive as the packaging is plastic-free — this is especially important for environmentally conscious consumers.

Looking at the packaging, it is clear that Motorola has focused on “Value + Awareness”.

Design and Build Quality

The back of the phone has a Vegan Leather finish, which improves the grip and gives a premium feel.

Bezel-free design, slightly rounded edges and 210 grams of weight — this phone will not feel like a discount-mid-range phone when you hold it in your hand.

In terms of security: Gorilla Glass 7i + MIL-810H military-grade protection and IP64 splash resistance — safety in everyday use is almost guaranteed.

There is a fingerprint scanner on the side, and dual speakers + Dolby-logo are the first signs of trust — how the sound will be is like an audit.

So, the whole “flagship-look and build” is available at this price.

Display and performance

6.72-inch FHD+ LCD screen, 120Hz refresh rate and 1050 nits brightness: This refresh rate and brightness are rare in the budget.

Although not AMOLED — so the contrast or color depth will not be as good as AMOLED — but 120Hz is very common in LCD as a value.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 as the processor — and, yes, this is the first phone in the domestic market to bring this processor.

In gaming tests (BGMI, Scarfall, SFT) — all games from 60fps to 120fps were smooth, no temperature or lag was felt even for a long time.

The phone shows that LCD + mid-range processor can also be powerful enough to balance price and performance.

How is the camera — in real life

Rear primary: 50 MP Sony LYT-600 — which is seen in much more expensive phones.

Secondary sensor: 8 MP ultra-wide + light-sensor (for portrait / night-mode).

Both selfies and video recording (2K 30fps) are effective; skin-tone, background texture, light-shades in the image — all are good.

The Warethics pipeline has been improved in night images, resulting in clearer and more detailed images than budget phones — especially light-management is better.

The camera has become a “value-camera” even among budget phones.

Battery and usability — for long-term use

7000 mAh Silicon-Carbon battery — very powerful. Although it does not charge quickly, it will last 2–3 days on a single charge.

33W fast-charging comes, which is more than enough for this battery size.

The Silicon-Carbon battery does not heat up, does not lose battery quickly — thus guaranteeing long-term battery life.

For those who prioritize battery life — the G57 Power is really suitable.

Sound, software and additional features

Dual speakers + Dolby support: The sound is strong, clear; Although the bass is a little low, it is very suitable for default ringtones/music.

Software: Stock Android 16, without unnecessary apps. Android 17 update + 3-year security patch promise.

11 5G bands, Smart-connect (connection / transfer to computer), gesture-based screenshot, dual-nano SIM — all in all, everything you need in a mid-range.

Price and Conclusion — Why Buy (or Not)

Price: ₹14,999 (₹1,000 discount at launch — that’s about ₹13,999)

The specifications offered at this price — battery, processor, camera, design, software — all in all, it’s really value for money.

Buy if:

You want battery life and long usage,

You like stock Android and a clean user experience,

You want good performance and camera in a budget phone.

⚠ If you want AMOLED display or rich colors / color-premium — then the G57 Power may not meet your needs.

Final Thoughts

The Motorola G57 Power proves that it is possible to balance smartphone design, battery, performance and user-experience even on a budget. I am satisfied with using it myself; if you want “powerful battery + flagship-feel” for a budget smartphone, then the G57 Power is a good choice for you.
